Talking with the Dead
Michael O’Rourke has had a hard life full of death and tragedy but none more tragic than the event when he was a child that left him with the ability to talk to the dead.
Now that Michael is grown up and a special agent, he uses his gift to get justice for those who have had their lives cut dreadfully short. As he finishes up a case that took more of a toll than he realized, Michael decides to take a break to restore his head before he’s of no use to anyone. His endless driving brings him to the small town of Mitchell, Indiana. As soon as Michael enters the small diner, he can feel the darkness pressing in on him and knows that there something evil in the small town.
Daisy Crandall has seen enough death and destruction with her time working with the Louisville Metro Police Department and took the sheriff’s position in the small town of Mitchell hoping to get away from all the blood. But now, Daisy has a killer on her hands and no leads until the hunky stranger Michael shows up and she finds him standing right in the middle of her latest crime scene with no logical reason for him to be there.
Can Michael convince Daisy to trust him enough to help with her investigation and find the killer before any more women are murdered?
Talking with the Dead is an enthralling story by Shiloh Walker! This book was previously published but has been revised for its release at Samhain and it’s not to be missed! Daisy and Michael are both alluring characters that give this story its dynamic appeal. You can feel the urgency and fear as Daisy tries to find the killer who’s targeting the women in her town and the confusion she also feels about her attraction to Michael while the killer is still loose.
Talking with the Dead had me up reading until I finished every word and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute!
