Fox and Dragon

Fox and Dragon by Jet Mykles is an erotic Sci-fi with BSDM tones.

Elizabeth Fox isn’t happy with the decision made by her commander to accept a Krystanni pilot into the ranks for advanced training to become a high ranking VBY pilot for the Emirate government. The Kryatanni are a race of people that aren’t completely trusted by the Emirate, and Drake Ange has a reputation as a hot-head who does what he wants. Fox is correct in at least part of her initial assessment about Drake, but his abilities as a pilot are quickly documented and far advanced from the rest of the trainees. Dragon, Drake’s new call name, has no problem pushing the envelope in a plane or in the arena of relationships and he his been watching Fox during all his months of training. Fox has her hands full teaching Dragon that there is more to flying than just getting behind the pilot seat and, sometimes reluctantly, he listens and learns. Things seem to be going very well for Dragon, and Fox is compelled to challenge him in more than just flying until the unexpected occurs and Dragon is accused of smuggling. He steals a plane, leaving everything he worked for behind. Is Dragon really guilty and how will Fax respond? If Dragon is innocent, then who is the mastermind behind the smuggling? Will Fox and Dragon ever have a chance to explore their budding feelings?

Ms. Mykles created a rich and colorful world for the reader to explore in Fox and Dragon. Fox and Dragon are two very vibrant characters that bring to life the trials and tribulations that life has in store for them. I found the existing prejudice that the members of the Emirate have about the Kryatanni, which is that they are all pirates, left them open to manipulation. These individuals caused all kinds of damage and everyone was willing to believe whatever they were told because it followed that status quo. When Fox and Dragon finally come together, the scene is both erotic and full of tension. Dragon has to not only prove himself to Fox, but he also has to prove the truth about what is really happening. Thanks goes to Ms. Mykles for such an action packed story that kept me on the edge of my seat to the very end.
