Un-Bridaled
Chloe Sachs, the most dependable, by-the-book, and mentally stable person in her crazy, mixed up family runs out, literally, leaving Mark at the altar. Chloe runs, actually drives her Ford pick-up to the next town and into the local bar, the Green Creek Saloon. Thank goodness Chloe’s got her brother on her side, and calls him to bring her some clothing. She can depend on Rafe…always.
Mark kicks her out of their home. Stunned, shocked, and embarrassed, Chloe must find a place to live and figure out what she is to do with one month off work when she was supposed to be on her honeymoon. Gran has a plan. She let’s Chloe live in her aunt’s bungalow that is being remodeled.
Chloe figures things out and unexpectedly works part time at the bar, finds some family hidden secrets, and realizes she has put limits on herself. Chloe also finds herself open to possibilities with the town Veterinarian, Daniel.
Oh my Gosh! There are so many elements, undercurrents, and comedy combined so well in Eileen Rendahl’s Un-Bridaled, I won’t be able to do it justice by trying to describe everything. I will say that I love, love, love Chloe and her family. It’s a bit outrageous but you know you have some family members that you roll your eyes at or that you can depend on. Un-Bridaled is very real in that Chloe goes through normal everyday life, embarrassments, joy, and crying jags. Chloe is a woman you will love, she’s every woman. Eileen Rendahl has a humorous and heartwarming writing style and Un-Bridaled is worth the few hours, if you can put it down, to read. A truly enjoyable and satisfying story!
