Cricket Summers has been promoted from customer service to the assistant to the owner's son, Aiden Jacobs. The attraction is instantaneous. Aiden has a strict rule that he does not date employees, but Cricket is different. Just looking at her awakens the animal in him. Aiden is a werewolf and believes Cricket may be his mate. There is one small problem. Cricket is allergic to dogs. Every time she is near Aiden, she is overcome by fits of sneezing. Cricket is not going to let a little thing like an allergy stop her from pursuing her attraction to Aiden. Dosed up with antihistamines, she agrees to go on a date with Aiden. Afterwards, they return to her apartment for a little dessert…each other. Her ex-boyfriend appears at her door and threatens her. The wolf in Aiden reacts, and he scares him off by shifting into a wolf. He didn't want Cricket to find out he was a werewolf like that, but he believes he had no choice. When he tries to explain, Cricket asks him to leave. Will Aiden convince Cricket that they are meant for each other, and can Cricket overlook her allergy to dogs to find true love?

J.T. Schultz has written another delightful story. Un-A-Were of You puts two people as opposite as black and white together…or maybe I should say dog allergies and wolf. You would think there is no way for this unlikely pair to find a happy middle ground, but they do. Aiden is strong in his belief that Cricket is his mate, and he will try everything he can, including buying allergy medication. Cricket doesn't believe in true love, but when she sets her eyes on Aiden, all her notions about love at first sight go up in a puff of smoke. I liked the way the story let the reader see into their thoughts. This story gives us hope that everything in life is possible.
