Lineage is the continuation of the story of Vision, a vampire introduced in Castoffs.

Vision is an unlucky or lucky vampire, depending on which side of the Master-Lieutenant relationship you find yourself. A former Lieutenant who has weathered two Masters finds himself in possession of his own set of power lines and becomes a Master in his own right. While Vision loves the power that comes with his position, he finds himself longing for the release of being on his knees before his Master.

Hanz, a driver in the service of Vision’s former Master and now in Vision’s possession has had his eye on Vision from day one. He can see what Vision needs, and he is just he one to give it to him. But first he must overcome the natural distrust that Masters have for all those under them.

A homoerotica love story with a BDSM twist, Lineage was really very good. As readers we have already come to love the characters from Castoffs, and in Lineage Angela Fiddler gives us an even deeper insight into what drives them. We discover Vision’s mortal life, and how he became the man or vampire he is today. We are also introduced to a new character that we love to hate. I found myself not really liking Vision in Castoffs, but after this book I think that he is my favorite character so far. Ms. Fiddler shows us what happens when the servant becomes the master, and how they release the bonds of responsibility in order to survive the pressure.
