So she goes home, draws herself a hot bubble bath and does the ritual…and something happens, something odd. Kimber finds herself in over her head, dealing with otherworldly beings and things that just cannot be happening; to top it all off, she’s completely naked. Add to the mix an immortal Highlander in a kilt, no less, and readers will find themselves on a thrilling, sexy ride. Can she get a handle on everything that’s gone awry before she finds herself becoming lunch for a hungry demon…or better yet, dessert for her Highlander?

H.A. Fowler pens a fun and funny tale of a lonely woman who gets caught up in magic that she doesn’t understand and finds more than she ever bargained for. The chemistry between Kimber and Hart fairly leaps off the page, and the author’s pithy, side-splittingly funny quips will have you roaring with laughter. Watching Hart fight his destiny with Kimber was just plain entertaining, and the world-building here was perfect. I loved this story, and I’ll be looking up more of these in the Stories of the Guardians series for sure! Five Angels and a Recommended Read!!!
