What Hugh and his men find when they get to Stone Crest is an ale-soaked baron and his wicked-tongued sister, both of whom have little or no care for Mina, who exhibited such bravery as to take on the creature alone. The undercurrents swirl deeply here…is there more to what is happening that what can been seen with the casual eye?

Dark, dangerous, delicious…from the first words, A Dark Guardian will grab hold of readers and transport them to another place, a magical place where evil walks and screams in the night. There is something for everyone here – paranormal dealings with the Fae, time travel, battles, and good vs. evil, as well as passion. The attention given to detail and world-building here is excellent, and I was impressed and hooked from the opening scene. The secrets and hidden intrigues here are beautifully done, as is the ground laying for future books in the series. Watching Mina come into knowledge of her worth and beauty was one of the best parts of this tale, and watching Hugh and his band of warriors in action was stirring, to say the least.
