Guarding the Coast
Captain Frankie Mariarty is a hot shot rescue helicopter pilot, even if she is a girl. Working for the Coast Guard she finds herself in charge of her team of three, all men worth drooling over. Only Frankie has her own personal rule of no fraternizing with work mates. They’re her buddies and that’s the way she likes it.
Lieutenant Gage Adams is Frankie’s co-pilot, a man with secrets, a man with scars. He thinks of Frankie as a sister until one night when everything changes. After opening the door to feelings Gage never knew he had can he close it again? Can he ignore the new way he now looks at his boss?
Samantha Gail’s Guarding the Coast is contemporary romance at it’s finest. I love Frankie and Gage. I was very sad when I had to close the book and say goodbye. Frankie grabbed me from the start, her and her group of drinking buddies are a laugh when they get together for their monthly drinking session. With stressful jobs, this group of women need to let off steam and when they do they really let it off, getting together to drink and bitch and gossip about their lives and of course the men in them. Between them and the junior member of Frankie’s team I found myself laughing out loud. Working for the Coast Guard Frankie’s team of men are all hot, and with the adventures of the sex-addicted Damon there’s plenty of sizzle and laughs. These men are Frankie’s friends, her crew, and each has a place in her heart. Only Gage holds of bigger place and as the story progresses he takes over more and more. Between the dramatic rescues this team perform and the personal relationship heating up between the pilot and her co-pilot, this book is filled with it all. Drama, suspense, friendship, romance and sex. It’s a good thing I have this in e-book format, if not the pages would disintegrate from all the use it’s going to get. A long read Guarding the Coast by Samantha Gail is more than worth the time and the money, a book I’ll be reading again and again.
