Fairy Tales

Fairy Tales by Mary Eason is one of those heart warming stories that makes you laugh one moment and cry the next. Maggie Monroe doesn’t believe in fairy tales, whenever you are happy, something bad will happen to change it. Maggie has decided she will never marry and have children; she plans to finish her law degree and go to work in her home town in a family friend’s law practice. There is no room for a man in her plans, and she’d never met one to sway that view until now. Jackson Riley, isn’t some pushover college boy, he’s an adult man who knows what he wants in life and doesn’t let anyone get in his way; he wasn’t expecting Maggie. From the moment they met, both of their lives were changed forever but can Maggie learn to trust that life can be good and can Jackson get past the hurts in Maggie’s life and find the woman dying to get out? Will Jackson be able to make a spot for himself in Maggie’s plans or will Maggie have to give up her dreams to have Jackson?

Go ahead and get out your box of Kleenex before you sit down to read this story. Maggie and Jackson are such enduring, yet damaged souls that you can’t help but fall in love right along with them. As the couple works through the issues in their lives that have prevented them from letting other people close, you hurt right along with them. And when Maggie finally figures out she is in love with Jackson but seems unable to allow herself to believe or trust, you’ll want to slap her silly. Jackson on the other hand does seem too good to be true, but you can’t help but like him; he is trying so hard to do the right thing for Maggie. This book is a keeper; you will want to read it over again anytime fairy tales seem unlikely in your life. Even in the modern, fast paced, workaholic lives most of us lead, a fairy tale ending is still possible. I have always loved a good fairy tale, and I just adore this modern fairy tale!
