Lately Remi has had a tough time, almost dying and being changed into a werewolf to save his life has been a challenge for him. Now he has been having strange dreams and even stranger feelings for a male pack member, Jake. On top of that he is constantly worrying about his brother Sterling who still lives with their abusive father, Dirk. Remi still does what Dirk says to keep him away from Sterling, but he could hurt Sterling anyway. Jake approaches Remi when he notices Remi’s eyes change after he became upset over bruises he noticed on Sterling’s arm. Remi is still learning to control his werewolf abilities and Sterling doesn’t know about them. Jake begins to help Remi and as they get closer, Remi learns about Jake being his mate and he has to come to terms with what that could mean to him. Jake and Remi have many surprises in store for them as they go on a journey of exploring what love, laughter and family could mean to them and their family.

Ms. Langley has continued her With or Without series with this incredible story. Remi and Jake are two very real to life characters that leap off of the page and draw the reader into the story from the very beginning. The horrible situation of child abuse is unfortunately one that is seen frequently today and one that effected Remi and his brother Sterling. Remi has a very loving nature in spite of his past and is willing and open to the love that Jake needs to give him. The love between Remi and Jake gives them both peace and enough heat to burn away all of Remi’s terrible past to create a wondrous future. I loved how Sterling is a fun loving and gregarious young man who takes life as if comes and brings everyone with him. I can’t wait for the next With Or Without book to follow the lives of these incredible and stunning men.
