While Raphael Estes and Jaden Quantrills are in the jungles of South America they are spotted by poachers. Both are in their jaguar form when they were shot at. Raphael takes the bullet and they fall to the floor of the jungle. Both Jaden and Raphael know that they must move. The poachers are right behind them and will find them. As they move through the jungle Raphael tells Jaden that she knows what she must do. He can not go any further and Jaden needs to protect her mate.

Jaden shifts into the jaguar form that has become familiar to her. One by one she tracks the poachers. One she jumps one and he falls into the waterfall. One down three to go. As she jumps from the branches of the canopy of the rain forest she can smell their scent. Staying down wind of them she leads another one into a rattle snake nest. Jaden goes back to check on her mate only to find him gone. Now she was ready to find the other two men and kill them. Will she be able to find Raphael in time? What would happen to her if Raphael is killed?

The Hunted by Donna Michaels is a fast paced and a fun read. It will keep you guessing until the end. Raphael and Jaden are so in love that they will do anything and stop anybody from taking that love away. I was cheering Jaden on as she searched for the poachers and killed them. What a love they have makes me want that love also. Thank you Ms. Michaels for a book I will not forget for awhile.
