Aurora and Tad are two submissives without a master. Having lost their beloved mistress, Martine, the two are attempting to make it on their own. Following Martine’s wishes, Aurora has taken over the running of her club. Aurora has also attempted to be Tad’s mistress, but her heart is not in it. Still mourning their loss, the two begin to take notice of a dark, handsome man in their club. Who is this man and why is he paying such careful attention to them? Tad and Aurora struggle with their mutual attraction to the stranger while determining their futures.

Adrianna Dane is a masterful writer; the images she describes are evocative and powerful. Her portrayal of a M/F/M relationship is erotic without being overwhelming. She also covers a wide variety of sexual styles (ie. voyeurism; ménage a tois; bondage) without intimidating the reader. Adrianna Dane was able to convey a gentle and caring aspect of the master/slave relationship. The characters were of limited background which enhanced the story. The reader only needs to know their background as it related to the story at hand. The end was left open, which is ripe for the reader to use their imagination as to where the characters go from there. The sex scenes were well-written and detailed. This was a quick and enjoyable read.
