Romancing Rebecca

Rebecca Dumaurier is vacationing in Sedona, Arizona. Of course, someone should tell that to some of the people from the law office who continue calling her on her cell phone. She is successful in her business life as a high-powered attorney, but when it comes to romance, that area is disastrous. She hopes the trip to Sedona will help her get over some of her confused feelings. Rebecca finds herself caught in a vortex. Max, who is her mystery man, sends roses, chocolate and romance novels, but he won’t reveal his real identity to her. She hopes this trip will help her understand about the feelings that continue to pull at her. She never expected to run into Tom Paxton, a world famous clairvoyant there for the Beloved Sedona Seminar. He was reading by a tree when he went into a trance. Thinking he had passed out, Rebecca stopped to assist him. He and Rebecca begin bumping into each other quite a bit during the trip, but their relationship gets on a rocky start when ex-wife and manager, along with his talented daughter seem to set hurdles for the couple. Someone is using Tom’s credit card, and he has no idea what is going on. The spirit enters his body and allows him to fall asleep and be passionate, but no way can any spirit use a credit card. Tom knows there is only one possible implausible explanation, and with Rebecca’s help, he hopes to find the answer, as Rebecca searches for the one man that can give her happiness and love always.

What an enjoyable read. I could practically see and smell all the sights of Sedona that Rebecca was able to visit and hike. It brought back nice memories to this reader. I loved the character of Rebecca. She had some quirky mishaps that made her a believable character, and her gutsy attitude was great. I liked the twist with Tom’s ex-wife and daughter, and how Rebecca steps in. The addition of the vortexes, and the psychic elements, along with the spiritual guides and romance writers was a nice seasoning to the storyline. Amber Polo draws believable, solid characters that come alive in this story. By making Rebecca the stronger one over Tom, the way they carried their conversations, and episodes of meeting, all blossomed into a friendship, then romance, that was quite wonderful. Also he recognized Rebecca as good and beautiful inside, and some guys don’t see that in a woman. I found Romancing Rebecca a very pleasurable story indeed.
