Megan Donovan is a woman who is trying to get on with her life following the desertion, and then death, of her husband. She’s a painter who lives by a New England beach. She has some psychic ability and dreams of a man showing up on the beach shores.

Caleb Hunter is that man. He does not remember who he is, only his name. Meg allows him to stay awhile to see if he recovers his memory. They feel an immediate attraction, but worry what would happen to their fledging relationship if Caleb remembers his past. There is also a sinister presence at the house that is complicating matters. Will they be able to solve the oddities that occur at the house while Caleb struggles with his memory?

Dark Tides was a good story. I liked the writing style and the excellent characterization. I really enjoyed the suspenseful aspects of the story as well. I was kept me on the edge of my seat trying to figure out what was going on. I also liked the relationship between Caleb and Megan. Even though they were thrown together quickly, it didn’t feel rushed. It felt natural and they really seemed to like each other. I got a great feel for Meg and Caleb and I was rooting for them to stay together. If you like paranormal romance with suspense, then Dark Tides is a great bet.
