Unbreakable

Jordan McAdam’s is a woman who has been alone. Her mother couldn’t stand up to her husband for the beatings that he gave her and her children. Her brother was supposed to come back for her and save her from the beatings of her father, but he was killed before that could happen. The only man that she has ever loved, died in her arms one night killed by something that wasn’t human. Now Brady, the man who has helped her to become a Shadow Destroyer although he never wanted her to become one of them, is determined that she should join the team. She has always enjoyed helping people and knows that she gets that from being a policewoman; can she get the same satisfaction from being a Destroyer and leaving the people that she has known and come to love?

From the minute that Jordan put Gage Campbell on his back in a wrestling match the first day of police academy he has wanted her. They had a good thing going until the war demon attacked them the night that he died in her arms. The only problem was that he did not die. The war demon allowed him to heal and when he recovered and was on his way back to her he realized that the demons could track him. It took every ounce of his strength, but there was no way he was going to put her in danger so he left her to deal with his death. Now he discovers that the war demon went back to attack Jordan, she killed him and became a Shadow Destroyer herself. Five years later they find each other as they fight demons. As Gage sees how Jordan handles herself in her fights he wants her to join the Destroyers team. Will she join or will she remain a cop making him have to leave her for the second time and can he leave her for the second time?

Unbreakable is one of my all time favorite love stories. It has heroes, demons, a great love and a long lost love that has been rediscovered. When Gage dies at the beginning of the book I wanted to wring Sydney Somers neck, but as the story progressed I was so glad that I left her alone to let her finish the book. When Jordan and Gage are reunited I felt that Romeo and Juliet had both been brought back to life. It was one of the most traumatic instances in a book that I’ve read, and it really set the tenor for the rest of the book. When they are not killing demons they are getting reacquainted with each other in the sexiest way possible. If you like a story that brings two people together in a way that they are meant to be please read this book. I promise that you won’t be disappointed.
