Body, Heart and Soul

Body Heart and Soul by Samantha Lucas is a dark and highly emotional roller coaster of erotic proportions.

Kira thinks she has found the perfect job; answering an ad on the bulletin board at college she is chosen to live in the tropics and work at the home of a wealthy woman. An innocent young woman, Kira is soon to have her innocence shattered by her employer; what she believes her role as assistant to be is not what she envisioned, she is brought to the island to be the latest sex toy for Barbara and the mysterious Devlin Kiersen. Arriving in paradise an innocent, will Kira leave one as well or will paradise turn into an island of wickedness, debauchery and pain?

Devin is a man with a haunted past. His soul is dying, trapped in a hedonistic and jaded lifestyle, he is tortured by the fear he will turn out to be like his hated father. He is on a course of self destruction that has him living in a wasteland of debauchery and pain. Continuously running from his demons, it will take his attraction to an innocent young plaything to make him stop and wonder “what if”. He longs to spend the rest of his days with this woman who makes him feel things he never felt before but his dark past may keep him from her.

Once you pick Body Heart and Soul up, you may have trouble putting it down. The storytelling gift of Samantha Lucas will draw you in from the beginning; a mysterious job on a tropical island that seems too good to be true, a summer spent in paradise at the home of a wealthy woman. A dream that turns into a sexual awakening for a vulnerable young woman, Body Heart and Soul is a non stop emotional story of innocence and wickedness. Devlin, Barbara, and Kira are well rounded characters with depth and distinction that is hard to ignore; they are in your face from the moment they enter a scene, demanding your attention and insuring you take notice of them, good and bad. Samantha Lucas has a gift for description and characterization; this reader felt like these characters were friends, needing my love and support throughout the story. The sexual exploits are appropriate to the story and exceed expectations for romance and emotional connection. Body Heart and Soul is a book I am happy to recommend, and Samantha Lucas is an author I will be watching for future projects.
