Margarita Day

Jodi is faced with a choice that many women would mistakenly be jealous of. Which of her three lovers should she choose? Conner, the rugged Native American who’s comfortable with himself and makes it easy to be with him? Wiz, the debonair older-man with money and a dark side? Or John, the man who makes her feel? She tingles when he brushes by her, she melts when he caresses her, and is content just being with her. It doesn’t seem that hard of a choice from an outsider’s point of view, but when looking through Jodi’s eyes, she sees men who want to make her into something she can’t be; a wife.

John knows that he loves Jodi and is sure that she loves him too, but understands that she needs to make the choice herself, what he seems to ignore is the fact that making Jodi choose may push him away and into another man’s arms.

Margarita Day was a truly unique book. Beginning with a misery-laden woman and continuing through until the resolution, this book was a mishmash of ideas, images and characters that fell into place quite well. While I was a little disappointed in Jodi and Wiz’s reactions to a particular scene, I still enjoyed the story as a whole and will be picking up more from these two authors to see what their fertile minds come up with next.
