Enough to Let You Go
Enough to Let You Go by Willa Okati is a homoerotic contemporary romance that follows the hopes and dreams of two very charismatic men through the years of their lives.
Paul’s life isn’t exactly as he wants it, but you learn to make do with what you have. The love of Paul’s life, Max, wasn’t happy to live in a quiet hamlet. Max needed the lights and action of a big city to fulfill his dreams of becoming an actor, so Paul let him go and not a day passes that he doesn’t wonder what if things had been different. Paul receives the surprise of his life when he finds Max at his doorstep. Max hasn’t changed from the last time Paul saw him and all of his feelings come crashing back, but for one glorious evening Paul has the love of his life back. Unfortunately, the night ends leaving Paul hollow inside to try and rebuild his life without Max again. Somehow, Paul goes on with his life, but each time he almost gets it right, some comment or message from Max rekindles his feelings preventing Paul from giving another the one thing he gave to Max so long ago, his undying love. Will Paul ever find someone to love him for himself or will he forever pine for something that may never be?
Ms. Okati has created a phenomenal story following the love and lives of two very dynamic men. The characters of Paul and Max leap off the page as they encounter the difficulties that life places in their way. Paul has a love strong enough to let Max go even and one that refuses to give up even facing what seems like insurmountable odds. Max is on the surface a free spirit, but underneath he isn’t sure if he is actually worthy of true love. Together they face distance, isolation and seemingly impossible odds to hopefully find a love beyond time and possibly even death. Thanks go to Ms. Okati for this incredible and moving story that touched my very soul.
