Tessa has just lost her husband Pete. She doesn’t want to do anything but sit and wait for time to go by. When her mother suggests they go to Vancouver Island to spend August before the children had to return to school, Tessa doesn’t want to go. The place has many memories but she decides it will be good for the children and she could draw on the beach. As they are settling in Tessa starts to remember the past. A past with a boy named Daniel. Daniel was her companion every summer that they stayed on the island. He was Tessa first love. Would Daniel be on the island this year? So many years have passed since they last saw each other. Would she know him after all these years? Would he know her?

Daniel is riding up the road with his son when he spots three people on the side of the road. One of them looked familiar. It was Tessa. He had been coming to the island since his wife left him in hopes of seeing Tessa again. Could they build a relationship again?
Only time will tell

Summer Love by Susan Lyons is a very heart wrenching story. It is about a woman and a man finding each other again after so many years. With the hardships that life deals it shows that the heart can heal and go on. Ms. Lyons I applaud you for a wonderful story that went right to my heart. I showed me that love can last forever and that special someone is always out there for you. Thank you so much for making me believe again.
