Tales Of The Magician: The Lost One

Nebetta is a concubine to Rameses III; her Ka is imprisoned in an ivory paddle doll that was located during an archeological exploration of the magician Peneb Ra’s home. Rameses III enjoyed his concubine Nebetta so much he wanted her to be entombed with him when he died, but he was betrayed by Peneb Ra and she was stolen. Julia found her but Noble and Derrick can also hear her. Her body must be found so her Ka can be reunited. Nebetta has come to care for these friends from the future; However, Derrick has come to be her prince.

Derrick was contacted when Noble and Julia were exploring Peneb Ra’s home and found spells on the walls in the ritual rooms. When he sees the nature of the spells he advises them to wait till he arrives before continuing their exploration. He believes Egyptian magic is nothing to mess around with. When he hears Nebetta’s voice he is surprised, and yet thrilled because of all the history she has available to her. Derrick finds he is incredibly attracted to her voice and they begin sharing visions which moves them into greater intimacy. He will do whatever he must to free her so he can have her for all time.

As I’ve said in the past, I thoroughly enjoy Melinda Barron. Tales of the Magician Book Two: The Lost One was a great sequel to TOTM Book One: The Captive One these books should be read in order to fully understand the premise of the storyline. Her female character is a bit more svelte than usual but as you follow the storyline you care for the disembodied voice. It was wonderful to see these characters find each other and to also visit with the ones from book one. I can only hope for Book Three…Please?
