Captain Devlin’s Captive

The ship the Rebecca is boarded by pirates and Jasabel and Miss Felicity are taken as booty. Brave and possibly foolish Jasabel Buchanan dares to stand up to the unruly crew and catches the attention of the pirate captain. Pirate Captain Devlin takes a risk and rescues her from his own crew.

Jasabel is an indentured servant to the selfish and arrogant Miss Felicity. She never dreamed that she would be captive on a pirate ship or that she would find it nearly so enjoyable. Captain Devlin's devilish good looks make it hard to resist the enticement of being ravished. Captain Devlin and Jasabel's adventure takes many twists and turns and shows that not all is what it appears to be.

Captain Devlin's Captive is a colorful tale of pirate captives with many interesting twists. Susanne Saville combines extremely rich detail with exotic locations for a bird’s eye view of the pirate life. It made me feel as if I was right there in the story. Captain Devlin and Jasabel form a dynamic duo that sizzle when they are together. I enjoyed the departure from the heroine in the story being a perfect lady to Jasabel who is an indentured servant with a shady past as the main focus. The story of adventure and ravishment on the high seas is enough to thrill and titillate any historical romance reader. The book kept me entertained and though some wording did slow me down a bit it held my interest to the end. Ms. Saville tells a lively tale. I look forward to more books from her.
