Sidhe Warrior

When Cullen, warrior bard for the Tuatha, decided that he wanted a relationship like his parents had, he went against Danu, the leader of Tuatha de Danann, and was cursed until he is able to fulfill three tasks, one for fire, one for earth and one for wind. After 500 years, he’s completed two of them, the earth and wind. Now he just has to do the one for fire, and he’ll be free or will he. When Rowan Bradley comes into his life he finds he just may want things he’s wished for in his long existence; but doesn’t think he has the right to bring her into his life. Knowing that trying to leave the castle will just end with him being jerked back to it, how can he tell her that he wants to go to the convention with her but cannot. Can he find a way to go and not be sent back to the castle when she needs him the most to save her from his foster brother Phelan?

Rowan Alicia Bradley loved the castle that her great Uncle Charles had left her, and would dearly love to paint a portrait of Cullen. But she’s afraid that her gift to see the true character of the person she paints will make the painting of him something different. It didn’t help that her ex-husband Jeffery had taught her that it is better to be cautious than to rely on her own judgment. Finding a way for Cullen to go with her to the Ages of Romance Convention, she finds there is more to Cullen than what she suspected, and of herself. Even though her grandmother had taught her there was no such thing as magic, Rowan is starting to believe that maybe her grandmother was wrong.

Ms. Reid has written a book that has a past, present, and the readers hope will be a future between two people who deserve to be happy. I wanted Cullen to put Jeffery in his place when he came after Rowan again, just because he thought he’d had her cowered. Rowan shows that she may have been once but has learned with the help of Cullen that she was stronger than she even knew she was. You feel the faith and love that Cullen has for her, and when he shows her how much he loves her, you need the air conditioner set on high to cool off. These two generate enough heat to make your computer work at not melting along with you. I know I kept hearing the fan go on whenever the love scenes between these two came on the pages. I highly recommend reading Sidhe Warrior to anyone who loves a story that engages all the emotions that as a reader we want to feel.
