When Detective Ellie Bassi goes undercover to catch a murderer, she doesn’t count on finding her prime suspect as interesting as she does. But most murder suspects aren’t handsome male models like Liam Knox, and most definitely don’t stir feelings inside her the way Liam does. She struggles to control her emotions as burrows deep into the fashion world and its wealth of glamour and intrigue. Intellectually she knows Liam is in all probability the killer but instinctively she feels he can’t be the one. She knows there must be something she’s missing about the crimes but she doesn’t have much time to figure it out. Bodies appear as Ellie watches Liam and her attraction builds. It is a quandary she wrestles with as she struggles to prevent the next murder from happening.

Glamour Puss by Rose Middleton is filled with suspense and intrigue. It is also a fabulously detailed, descriptive behind-the-scenes look at the fashion industry. I enjoyed the runway model preparations, seeing for the first time what really goes on behind the glittery stage curtain. I also enjoyed the way Ellie worked to solve the murders, stringing together the clues about Liam’s ex-lovers’ deaths like the pieces of a puzzle. Until almost the very end of this book I had no real idea who the killer was. Now that’s a great murder mystery, one that has the reader guessing until the final pages! Well done, Ms. Middleton!
