Running Blind
When the police required help in tracking down a serial killer they called in Jessica Crist. Jess is a psychic. A serial killer has murdered six women in Sioux City, Iowa. Now Jessica is running away from him. The murderer was able to hunt down Jessica at a safe house involving the assistance of Larry Kendall.
Jessica has found herself in Buffalo, New York. Reed Baker rescues Jess when her car runs off the road. Reed wants to help Jess. Jess does not want Reed getting too close to her as every one who was in close proximity to her is now dead. Reed may not be as innocent as he seems. He is on parole. There’s an instant attraction involving the both of them.
From the very first page Running Blind was running on jam-packed speed. Robin Leigh Miller’s characters have such an extensive assortment of depth, emotion, intelligence and strength. The build up of the cat and mouse game between the serial killer and Jess was intense. Jess could sense his presence following her from the safe house till the car crash. She sustains a nasty bump on the head and loses her psychic connection to him, from that moment on the villain had the upper hand. Jessica’s personality was great throughout Running Blind. When the times got hard-hitting and she lost her psychic ability she could have just given up. She decided not to accept her fate but instead she persevered to end up on top. The action was mind-blowing too. I look forward to many more novels from Robin Leigh Miller.
