Golden Eyes
Sheriff Duncan Kennedy was shocked beyond belief when he discovered that the numerous reports of exotic wild animals prowling around in the town’s mountains were indeed true when he happened upon a wounded cheetah. Duncan was able to rescue the cheetah before the poachers succeeded in killing it. Later that night when Duncan went to check on his injured guest, he was once again taken aback because there was a naked woman with an arrow stuck in her thigh lying where the once hurt cheetah used to be.
Aliyah Carver was finally free to shift back into her human self after spending the past six months in her cheetah form. Although, she was free to shape-shift, Aliyah was still in danger from the poachers that were hunting her and other illegally African imported exotic animals in the U.S. mountains. Then without warning while taking a much needed rest, Aliyah, as a cheetah, was shot in the leg with an arrow by one of the poachers; but, before the hunter could claim her, Aliyah was saved by a lone stranger. Will Aliyah be able to trust her savior or has she jumped from a hot frying pan into the burning fire?
From the start, Golden Eyes intrigued my interest with a thrilling opening and kept me reading long into the night eager to discover how the story would unfold. And, I must say that I was not disappointed for a single moment. I loved Duncan! He was the type of man that every woman wished to have in her life. He was very supportive, strong-willed, loving, considerate, tender, determined and protective. What more could a woman ask for? At first, Aliyah was unsure that she could trust Duncan but, when she finally let her guard down and decided to allow her feelings to take over, their passion exploded with a vengeance. I truly enjoyed reading Maya Bank’s Golden Eyes.
