Torc’s Salvation
When Torc had been hired to take the pleasure slave back to her family, he didn’t realize how big or hard the job was going to be. He wanted her to learn she was her own master and was finding that teaching her she could say “no” wasn’t easy. Between his feelings for her growing by leaps and bounds, it seems there are others who want her just as badly, but for different reasons. Torc knows that the day he gives her back to her family is the day he’ll no longer see her. Just when he thought things couldn’t get any worse, someone in her family doesn’t want her to forget she’s a pleasure slave and theirs to do with as they please.
Ailyea has only known the life of a Delicant, a pleasure slave; whatever her Master’s decided to do to her was his right. Not understanding why her new Master Torc didn’t want to have sex with her or to tell her what to do was upsetting. How can she please him if he won’t tell her what he wants from her? Will she be able to show him that their love is something that should be fought for? Or will she end up as someone else’s pleasure slave after all?
This is a story that as a reader I felt the highs and lows of this couple—the frustration of Torc trying to teach Ailyea to be self sufficient and of her trying to get him to understand she wanted him as much as he wanted her. I was there watching the shape shifters trying to stop the slavers and wanting to help them. The reader will be pulled into Ms. Logen’s story and not want to leave when that last page is turned. I hope she’ll give us more of this future worlds as the secondary characters deserve their own stories and the readers will want them. Torc’s Slavation is a book that any reader that loves a good futuristic story that will keep them turning the page will want on their keeper shelf. I highly recommend it to one and all.
