Mission: Carnal

Adrian is living his dream. He, along with a few friends, owns a comic shop and out of the back room they run a “hospital” for repairing damaged action figures. When he finds himself drawn to a mutilated figure at a yard sale he takes it home to work on. Imagine his surprise when the figure comes to life. The Toymaker has promised Mack a new life if he will complete one final mission. He must teach Adrian how to live life to its fullest.

A cute, fast paced story, Mission: Carnal is the first in Mary Winter’s new Live Action Hero series. Adrian is a man so emotionally damaged from a relationship gone bad that he has subsumed his entire life into his business. Mack is a man who has been damaged physically and emotionally by the long war he has fought. Adrian’s gentle touch repairs both his body and his soul and Mack can’t help but want to return the favor. Mary Winter has done a good job of bringing these characters to life in such a short venue. The emotions they feel and the enveloping tension between the two draws the reader in until they feel like part of the story. I can’t wait for the next in the series!
