Shadow of a Wolf

FBI Special Agent Martin Winter has been MIA and presumed dead by everyone—everyone that is except his best friend Naval Intelligence officer Jack Reed. Jack refuses to believe that Martin is gone, not only because of their friendship but because Jack and Martin share a secret. They are both werewolves and as far as they know the only ones of their kind. When Martin returns after being gone for two years Jack realizes that the feelings that he has for Martin extend beyond friendship and he will do anything to protect Martin from his enemies.

Shadow of a Wolf is a story of a love affair that has its beginnings in sorrow but grows to joy and the recovery of trust. Martin is an alpha male that has turned fragile due to his inability to remember exactly what happened to him during his two years away. Jack is a man who has spent that time regretting not being able to protect his friend and realizing that his feelings are much deeper than mere friendship. The tenderness and understanding he shows when dealing with the troubled Martin helps the reader connect with both characters and makes the love story between the two much more believable. The mystery behind Martin’s disappearance and the subsequent solving of the case make for an enjoyable read. Jez Morrow has written an engrossing tale of betrayal, mayhem, and love with fully fleshed characters that will tug at your heartstrings and toy with your emotions. You can’t help but fall in love with Martin and Jack.
