Dark Deceiver

He is known as the monster of the court, with the nickname of Punisher. Kaderil the Dark is the servant to the king of Esria and shows no emotion. He has taught himself to kill without warning and to make those around him suffer. King Rith wants Kaderil to go to Earth through a portal and find the missing seven stones that hold great power. The special species called The Sitheen are humans who are of mixed blood of both human and Esri. Kaderil must infiltrate their group and retrieve the draggon stone and then the Esri will be able to rule that world and make all humans their puppets.

Autumn McGinn may be a bit clumsy, gangly and definitely not a Sitheen, but she has decided to help her friends after the first Esri found its way to Washington D.C. and terrorized everyone in its path. They were able to defeat the lone Esri but they know more are coming. Kaderil, or Kade as he calls himself, is able to locate Autumn. Autumn is dumbstruck by Kade because of his height and the power he eludes. She senses that he may not be human, but is definitely not Esri. He lies and says he has nightmares of death and harm coming to Larsen, Autumn’s good friend. Autumn is ready to believe him and brings him into her fold. But with Kade’s enemy also looking for the magic stones, Kade must decide if he is willing to sacrifice Autumn, the woman he is beginning to care about. He is the Punisher after all, and is not meant to feel love or any other soft emotion.

Pamela Palmer has written a complex paranormal where everyone seems to be the enemy. Kade walks a fine line between good and evil and it takes the love of Autumn to ground him. Autumn is the reason Kade changes his actions and thoughts and without her he could have become one of the villains of the piece. There is non-stop action, suspense and a dire need to survive.

Kade and Autumn’s love is not an easy journey and most of the time they battle with each other. Both have issues of inadequacy because of their past and because they constantly fight, they almost bring their downfalls upon each other. But their heated emotions lead to some hot sex scenes that don’t always end in cuddling and smiles. Dark Deceiver is not a simple love story between a man and a woman who don’t have a care in the world. There is constant destruction and death that surrounds them and don’t be surprised if you find yourself on the edge of your seat. For a good, dark and sexy read, Dark Deceiver is the way to go.
