Remy Begnaud, or T-Remy as his father calls him, has come home to the bayous of Louisiana where he left all those years ago to join the Navy SEALS and to try and escape a special ability he has. Remy can control the weather and unleash the worst Mother Nature has to offer. And the only way he can control it is to find sexual release.

But when he gets to his father’s house he is not there, and Remy finds a strange woman in the shower. Remy doesn’t think this is a coincidence and with the hurricane becoming more and more intense, along with his body almost at his breaking point, Remy wants answers and now! Hailey Holmes has come to this godforsaken bayou to study Remy. Haley is a parameteorologist and works for ACRO, a government agency that studies the paranormal and recruits such people who have these abilities. Remy is one of them and if Haley can gain his trust, perhaps she can get her job done and maybe help Remy control himself. But the only way she may have to do this is to be with Remy in the elemental sense and become his lover when most women have run away in fear.

As brutal storms come and go and the neighbors come to threaten Remy because they believe he’s cursed, the passion and sex Remy and Hailey have rivals anything Mother Nature can throw at them. Remy is still unstable and doesn’t want to trust Hailey, but when he is with her and experiences pleasure with her, he can’t help but wonder if this woman can help him control the turbulence within his own heart.

Riding the Storm by Sydney Croft is heavy on sex and the release of frustrations. Pair that with some wicked weather; almost every page becomes saturated with lust, much like a humid summer in the Louisiana Bayou. This book is so beyond hot that I was surprised that the pages didn’t wilt under the intense heat. Sydney Croft has such a skill with writing an excellent, on the edge of your seat erotic romance. Everything between Remy and Hailey is about mistrust and the physical between them. These two have some major issues and when you have two characters such as these, you can expect some interesting things to happen.

For those who want more than just sex, there are a few side stories that caught my eye and I wouldn’t be surprised if some of these secondary characters take off and are given their own stories. There are also ghosts, villains and some magic that also adds to the spice of Riding the Storm. What a wild ride. If I were you I wouldn’t miss it!
