Whiskey Shots Volume 2

Out of the Shadows
Amanda Cross knew she was running out of time, and if they found her, they would kill her. She felt utterly helpless. Suddenly a shot rings out, and she awakes in a hospital being interviewed by two detectives. Amanda can’t recall anything. She has no idea why anyone would wish her dead. Detective Jake Hopkins and Detective Steve West believe someone is still targeting Amanda. They become her bodyguards, never leaving her side. Jake informs her she may have to locate and change her identity. Steve believes the more time they guard Amanda, Jake warms up to her, but Jake assures he is a cop, she a witness and nothing more. With someone so close to finding Amanda and finishing the job, Steve and Jake work round the clock to safeguard her, but sometimes things are not always as they seem as Amanda feels she will never get her life back.

I thought Out of the Shadows was a heart-pounding read. It was intense and even had enough time for a little simmering romance to develop with the characters. Crystal Inman incorporates a touch of intrigue into this suspenseful read that this reader found completely gratifying, not to mention the twist and turn of surprise.

Into the Shadows
Foster chose to be a protector to those who could not protect themselves. He can always sense any impending danger. He continues to stay back as he watches over a woman, someone who has a strange fascination for him. In his earlier life he had dated other women, but none that made him feel like this one. He is curious as to how a woman can affect him when he doesn’t know her. Jenna Evans sees Foster looking toward her window and invites him inside. She has a gift and knows of Foster, but he doesn’t understand how that can be possible. Against his better judgment he goes to see her. Jenna is certain they were meant to be together. Can Foster see she is indeed the perfect creature he has always sought, or will destiny fly out the window?

Into the Shadows is another spellbinding read that caught me off guard. I was surprised with the characters and the twist and turns in the storyline. Crystal Inman kept me in awe with this fast-moving read.

For anyone desiring to read a story that engages, captivates and leaves the reader completely satisfied, Whiskey Shots Volume 2 has two great mind-blowing stories that will indeed give much thought to the mind.
