Not many women get a chance to watch a man shake his groove thing in a private audition, but that’s all in a day’s work. Jalen Spencer is an undercover cop who has no qualms about doing anything in the line of duty. His supervisor’s wicked sense of humor sends him on a new assignment at Temptation City and forces Jalen to tap into his more sensual side. A side he is more than willing to share with the lovely Ashia.

Lyric James puts us smack dab in the middle of erotic dancing at its best in Temptation City. Jalen knew that he was attracted to Ashia and this assignment could cause complications he normally wouldn’t have. Ashia is beautiful with a heart of gold and brains to round out her package. But getting a glimpse at her personality and charm were Jalen’s undoing. Ashia is by no means cold and detached. She recognizes Jalen as the one employee capable of making her break the hands-off-the-help rule. Jalen’s rich Barry White voice eased over her like a melted chocolate and left her panting from want. It was hard not to love these characters. Each has an inner strength and serves the community in their own way. They have fantastic chemistry in and outside of the bedroom. I loved how Ms. James includes messages about family, community awareness, and the importance of forgiveness in her story. I was beyond pleased with this novel and look forward to reading more from this talented author.
