Tempting Eve

Big girls don’t cry… they get even! Eve Flynn is no stranger to the world of the paranormal. Two years ago her parents were killed by vampires, leaving her alone and unwilling to open her heart to others. Now instead of preparing for a hot date, Eve works in a bookstore by day, and is a slayer by night. She learns it’s easier to kill when you forget that paranormal beings were once human beings. Unfortunately Eve has drawn the attention of Lazarus, a centuries old vampire, and he has the ability to make Eve remember just what he is underneath the fangs and lust for blood. Lazarus is one hundred percent man!

Tempting Eve proves that fate sometimes has a funny way of attracting us to the thing we most despise. I have to admit, I have a fondness for stories where the heroine isn’t a size four. It’s wonderful when a woman with some meat on her bones is kicking behind and taking names. Lazarus is a man who knows what he likes and has the guts to go after it. These characters have a passion that is meant to be delved into inch by delectable inch. And being privy to Eve’s conversations with her best friend Nicholas was a hoot! They have the kind of friendship that makes rainy days seem like the sun is still shining. Cynthia Rayne has created a wonderful story full of action and humor. The couple delivered just enough steam and laughter to make Tempting Eve enjoyable from beginning to end.
