The Change

Reynaldo Alcantara has loved Gwen Baxter for five years and she has finally accepted his offer to be Turned. Gwen is having an adverse reaction to the change which is something Reynaldo had not anticipated. He has seen countless people Turn over the years and is baffled by what is occurring to his lover. He realizes only a master vampire could know the secret that will keep Gwen from perishing and pays a visit to Master Elijah Thorton. Master Thorton explains there is only one way to save Gwen and Reynaldo is just the vampire to supply her needs. But the cure is more complex than anyone imagined but not too high of a price for Reynaldo to pay.

Conspiracy and mind blowing orgasms are woven throughout The Change. Reynaldo didn’t know true happiness until he met sweet intelligent Gwen. Gwen knew that Reynaldo was the one she wanted to spend eternity with and took his offer for forever. It was nice to see Reynaldo open himself so completely and offer to do anything to save the woman he loves without a second thought. He knew his life would not be the same without her. Elijah has had pain in his life and I’m hoping that he will find love in a sequel to this book. Even with his status, he could have demanded the moon for his knowledge, but he was satisfied with the friendship and caring Reynaldo and Gwen presented him with. Essence has created characters with strong natures but loving hearts. The story is sure to be enjoyed by those with a fascination for the paranormal.
