The Shadow Den is a local bar shapeshifters enjoy frequenting for its ambiance, music and entertainment. Bryan Gallier is a regular thanks to his friendship with bartender and co-owner Jared. But recently he has been visiting in hopes of meeting an attractive owl shifter who caught Bryan’s eye.

Kyle Brixton noticed the lynx shifter from the time he entered the establishment. Unfortunately in the shapeshifters community same sex relationships aren’t the only thing that’s frowned upon. They also have a healthy dislike of mixing with other shifters. And although Kyle is drawn to Bryan he’s unsure of how to approach him and gain his attention.

With an attraction this explosive there is no denying Bryan and Kyle were meant to be together.

Passion and humor are laced throughout What the Cat Dragged In. I found myself laughing and fanning continuously while reading this book. Kate Steele brings us a nice twist from the normal stories about shifters. The characters felt real and their problem with the mixing of species reminded me of the issue that still exists today with the mixing of races. The story was realistic on various levels and shows how love should be nurtured regardless of the underlying concerns. The characters had an easy banter and a sexual energy that leapt off the pages. This is a fantastic story that readers of the genre will enjoy from beginning to end. Wonderful story Kate!
