Dr. Jane Elizabeth Farmer has just lost her job as an on-air marriage and relationship therapist and arrives home—just in time to sign for a package that isn’t even hers; it belongs to her annoying neighbor. Her neighbor may look like one hot Italian Stallion but she doesn’t need a playboy in her life. In reality Luther “Lex” D’Angelo, Jane’s neighbor, is a secret operative for Elite Investigation Service and the package Jane just accepted has put both their lives in peril. They are now on the run and Lex’s boss suspects a mole in their agency so they are on their own. Can they stay safe long enough for Lex to figure out what is going on? And now that they can’t avoid each other and continue to ignore the chemistry between them can they stay out of bed? Do they want to?

This story’s main characters are the perfect “opposites attract” personalities to make for a good clash and the great beginning for a romance. Jane is a pretty uptight, sheltered, sexually repressed, intellectual, yet passionate, woman. Lex is all bad boy. He does and says exactly what he thinks and has no problem with expressing what he wants. But neither character is exactly what they seem and that is part of the fun in this tale. I enjoyed Leap of Faith by Arianna Hart for its non-stop action, pulse pounding suspense, and the fun yet sensual romance. The story is full of enough betrayal, shooting bad guys, and plot twists to keep any suspense lover guessing. The story also leaves plenty of room for a sequel with some good secondary characters. I would like to read about more operatives from ESI and their adventures.
