Tarot Card Anthology: Synchronicity Vol. 3

This is the third anthology of stories about people who visit tarot card reader Abigail Montgomery and with a one card reading find their lives will never be the same again. The people getting the reading will all face a major change in their life and will have to make a choice that will determine their future…

The Sun by Tina Bendoni

Eliane Thomas got a reading from Abigail Montgomery at a local fundraising fair for fun. Her card was The Sun and Abby told her it meant only good things in her life. Abby said it was time for most of her dreams and goals to come true but that she would be surprised by a man close to her. There was only one man Eli wanted, her best friend Paul, but he was so far out of her league. So who was Abby talking about?

Justice by Michelle Hasker

When Athena Marley went to see her friend Abby, she asked for a reading. Athena’s card is the Justice card and Abby tells her it means that is a part of who she is. She seeks justice in all she does but she should be careful not to be overcritical. She also said Athena has something in the past that needs to be corrected and when it is she’ll find romance. Athena figures Abby can’t be right all of the time.

The Empress by Michelle Hasker

Anne Devereaux is a no-nonsense business woman with vivid fantasies. She has been spying on her two hunky neighbors, who are both firemen, and fantasizing about them pleasuring her at the same time. When she goes to see Abby the tarot reader, Abby draws The Empress card. Abby says The Empress card means that she is smart, hard-headed, quick to make decisions, and always in charge. She also says that Anne needs to take the initiative to get what she really wants and shouldn’t worry about what other people think. Does this mean she should go after Jamie or Josh? Could she really even dream about having both?

The Emperor by Michelle Hasker
Cynthia Ward and Clark Hudson dated in college but Clark expected too much experimenting from her and she was too young and too inexperienced to be comfortable. Now, it is Cynthia’s job to recruit Clark for the agency she works for any way she can get him; she intends to show him she isn’t inhibited anymore. When Cynthia had her fortune read by Abby the tarot reader, she drew The Emperor card, which Abby said meant that she is in control of her life, her body, and her decisions. Abby said The Emperor card usually indicates a father figure but in Cynthia’s case it is someone who will become very important to her and be her leader. That couldn’t possibly apply to Cynthia; she is going to be the one in charge, especially when it comes to Clark.

The Devil by Tina Bendoni

When Tabitha Thompson’s sister talks her into accepting a one card tarot reading, she is sure it is just bunk. When the Devil card is drawn, Abby tells her it stands for “self-imposed limitations” meaning she is denying herself life because she feels she must be responsible for someone or something. Abby says she shouldn’t turn down an opportunity out of a sense of duty and she needs to live life as it is meant to be lived. Tabitha has willingly had the responsibility of caring for her younger sister since their parents died ten years ago. Johnny Dow was the all star football player and her first crush in high school who has just turned up to interview her sister for a summer early college program. Johnny seems very interested in Tabitha, is this her opportunity? Can she let go and live?

The World by Tina Bendoni

Kathy has been widowed for five years and now that she has achieved her career goals, what now? When she visited a tarot reader, Abby, with her friend Sarah, she drew The World card. Abby said it meant that her life was at a crossroads. It is both the beginning and the end and that she will soon have a chance to make a choice that will lead to a new beginning if she just has the strength to take that step. Marco is a gorgeous and exciting man that Kathy meets on vacation. Could he be her new beginning? Is Kathy really ready?

Epilogue by Tina Bendoni & Michelle Hasker

In the Epilogue, the authors worked together and wrote an ending. Abby has a party and invites all 22 of the “guests” she had done the one card fortunes for and she mulls over what life was like before her reading and where they are now. It is a wonderful summary and I’m so glad Ms. Bendoni and Ms. Hasker included this summary story to tie up all the loose ends from the three anthologies that made up this series.

This was a wonderful series. All of the stories were unique and uplifting. In this final anthology, the stories were just as good as they were in the first two editions. I find that sometimes authors seem to lose steam over long projects but that did not happen in this series. I liked how all of these stories are linked in some way to the rest even if it is just that they saw the tarot reader Abby. If you love tales of fortunes coming true, people finding the right match for their situation and personality, and happy endings, you will enjoy this anthology and the two that came before it. This was a well done project!
