Grigore in Blood
Grigore in Blood by D.J. Manly is the third and final book in the Saga of the Wolf series.
The Lang and the Ross’s have had a long standing feud that started with their grandfathers Stanton and Anton, but only the two of them know exactly why. Stanton with the help of a witch Sitri turned Anton and his offspring into werewolves, and they have been fighting since. Nicholas and Adam, their grandsons, are in love just like their grandfathers, but they still don’t truly trust each other. Adam, with Sitri’s help, takes on another form and infiltrates Nicholas’s people. Things are not always what they seem and Adam begins to see the situation from the other side. Anton invites his lover, Grigore, and anyone wishing to join their cause a home and freedom if they can overcome Stanton's army. Stanton can’t accept that Anton will never be his, and he goes to Sitri again for a love spell, the same one he used all those years ago. Will Nicholas find a way to bring peace to their city? Will Adam learn his true feeling before time runs out? Will Stanton and Anton ever find a way around their differences?
Mr. Manly has created the perfect ending to the Saga of the Wolf series. The situation of families feuding is one many people can understand. To carry a grudge that affects your family and kills other people is a terrible thing. Adam and Nicholas’s difficulties with trust stem from their learning to hate from their grandfathers. Grigore may be a vampire, but he is able to see beyond their external façade to how they feel about each other. Anton’s only problem is that the man he loves will go to any length to get his man, including magic to manipulate him. I loved how each separate crisis is solved in an very unusual way. The use of paranormal situations added to the development of the plot. I hope to read more stories about Adam and Stanton. Thanks go to Mr. Manly for writing such a telling tale about love, hate and second chances.
