Project Prometheus 2: Hope of Heaven

Project Prometheus 2: Hope of Heaven by Esther Mitchell is a romantic suspense story with a paranormal twist. Thousands of years ago good battled evil and found a way to contain it until some time in the distant future their descendents would gather and find a way to banish the evil for all time. This is just one of the many struggles that the members of the Prometheus Group face.

Peter Talladay, a member of the Prometheus Group, was badly injured in Lebanon fighting an otherworldly demon to help his friend, Matt, conquer the evil that was trying to kill him and the love of his life Manara. Now Peter has returned home to Ireland to recuperate, a place he vowed never to return to, but he is getting worse not better. Matt and Manara sent Hope to try and heal not only Peter’s physical but spiritual wounds. Hope is not only a physician, but a sensitive who can sense the inner struggles and help people overcome them. Unfortunately, Hope has a distrust for military men which blinds her in her ability to help Peter. Peter has had a rough life which influences how he reacts to others. Together they find danger from unknown outside forces and are forced to band together if they want to stay alive. Come watch as Peter and Hope learn to overcome obstacles to maybe find a love for all time.

Ms. Mitchell has created a fast paced story that combines suspense, action and romance with a paranormal flare that holds the reader captive from the very start. I love how Irish lore is blended into the story and comes alive for the reader. Peter and Hope are two very strong people who have had difficult pasts, but still are able to trust in the goodness of others. I find it fascinating how Ms. Mitchell intertwines the mysteries and magic from the past so that present day individuals have a direct hand in fulfilling history. I look forward to reading the next book in the Project Prometheus series.
