Zara’s Bois 2: Ingenue’s Choice

Ingenue’s Choice by Gracie C. McKeever is the second book in the Zara’s Bois series.

Zara died in an unfortunate accident, but in death she was given a second chance to make things right and learn from her mistakes on Earth. She was sent back to help her brother, and now she has a new assignment. Kier is applying for a job as a bartender at Zara’s, a hot up and coming gay bar, when his potential employer asks him a most unusual question- did he have problems with ghosts? You see Zara set her best friend Quincy up with her brother Zack. Kier forgets all about the conversation when he first sees Patryk, the man of his dreams. Patryk has been dragged to Zara’s by his friends for his birthday, and when he sees Kier, he gets scared out of his wits. Little does Zara know the trouble she has to go through to get these two together, and the lengths she will have to go to keep them together. There is more at stake than even Zara, Keir and Patryk know.

Ms. McKeever has created a lively and fast paced story infusing contemporary social issues with out of this world characters who add humor and substance to a very lively plot. I love how Zara adds her own flare and personality to each situation she enters while managing somehow to get her charges together, sometimes to their own mystification. Patryk and Keir are two lost souls who don’t realize what they are missing until Zara pushes them towards their path to love. The emotional ties between Kier and Patryk are both very hot and poignant. It is beautiful to see two people can be so perfect together. I can’t wait to find out what heaven has in store next for Zara. Thanks go to Ms. McKeever for such an intriguing story.
