Cattle Valley: Rough Ride

Cattle Valley: Rough Ride by Carol Lynne is the forth book in the Cattle Valley series.

Wyn is having difficulties at his father’s ranch from the nasty way the town people are treating him. Wyn left his home town as soon as he was old enough because of all the abuse he received from the town over his sexual orientation, and he only returned when his father was dying. Wyn lives in Cattle Valley which is a safe haven for people who have never been accepted because of the person that they love. After Wyn is beaten up, he calls his best friend Nate for help. Nate tells him to call Ezra, the man that Wyn secretly likes. Ezra drops everything to go help Wyn, and he finds the situation more complicated because of an injury Wyn has sustained. When Wyn and Ezra quickly realize that they share the same feelings, their first time is like magic, but other people bring complications into their new relationship. Will Ezra and Wyn’s love be strong enough to weather the difficulties they face to emerge with a love to last a lifetime?

Ms. Lynne has continued her series with another book that once again brings to life the heart and soul of the people living in Cattle Valley. I love how the people there accept and help each other in the difficulties that they encounter. Both Wyn and Ezra had difficulties with past relationships, but they are willing to give love a try once again. I am enjoying how Ms. Lynne is adding depth to hers character as she writes each consecutive story. It is my hope that there are places like Cattle Valley where people can be who they are without fear of prejudice for loving someone. I will be waiting for the next installment of the Cattle Valley series.
