Leashed 3: The Lion’s Share

Leashed 3: The Loin’s Share by Jet Mykles is the third book in the Leashed series.

All Meg ever wanted was a quiet life away from the ties and political maneuvering that occurs in the magical world. You see, Margaret comes from a very powerful witch family and she never wanted to be a part of their world. But to her dismay, first Meg found herself leashing two shape shifters (Rudy and Michael), the only part she of the situation that she enjoys. Next she gets forced to take on a powerful witch which ends up in that witch's death, leaving her in charge of a coven with orders to contain an almost overwhelming energy source. To accomplish this goal she will need not only the coven’s help, but the help one of her leashed shape shifters - something that before seemed impossible. Other people's political maneuvering come to light and could effect Meg, Rudy and Michael’s life by not only separating them, but possibly ending their lives for all time. Will they find a way to overcome these deadly issues before it is too late?

Ms. Mylkes has continued her Leashed series with this story, and it captivates the reader from the start. The love scenes between Margaret, Rudy and Michael are so real to life that the reader gets right into the minds of the characters. Margaret’s resistance to accept her fate is one that many people can relate to. I am fascinated by how the coven was able to rally around Margaret after everything they went through at the hands of the previous coven leader. Add to this, the political staging by other witches for the position of Grand Dame of the South East USA, and you have an action packed story sure to please any reader. I will be waiting for the next installment of the Leashed series.
