Warm Rush, Book 1: Chasing Winter

Jesse Winter has always had a special relationship with the boy next door, Keith Taylor. When Jesse leaves for Europe for a year on business he promises to write. One year turns into three years due to a debilitating car accident. When Jesse finally does come home he comes home to find that the boy next door isn’t exactly a boy anymore, but what Jesse finds even more surprising is Keith’s size. Things between the two long lost friends heat up quickly and both men need something from the other that they just can’t get without each other.

I’m very curious just where Rowan McBride will take the story next. Keith’s extraordinary strength and size left me wanting to read more about him, even if it was hard to picture him in my head. It will be fun to discover exactly where this takes him in future books. As for Chasing Winter, I felt Rowan McBride just scratched the surface with Keith. However, the contrast between Jesse and Keith, and the subsequent relationship that follows because of this contrast, was complex. Jesse made this story well worth reading. He was so loveable right from the start. Rowan McBride does his job well with book one, and book two is definitely in my future.
