Sin’s Gift

Months after being shot in the incident that killed her partner, police officer Sin returns to work, she knows she has a tough job ahead of her. Even though she has been cleared of any negligence, her co-workers wonder if she is responsible for what happened. It doesn’t help that she can see her former partner’s ghost, and everyone thinks she went crazy. Now, she is determined to get back into the swing of things, even with a new partner who is less then thrilled to be with her. Jake has already been her partner once, in more then one way. He can hardly keep his hands off her, or stop worrying about her, and those are not distractions he needs. Then something happens at an armed robbery and everything changes for Sin. Jake is determined to cover her back, and more.

I loved everything about Sin’s Gift. Sin is hard, stubborn, and she isn’t afraid to say or do what needs to be done. She is a refreshing heroine who can give as good as she gets and I was behind her all the way. Her relationship with Jake is smoking hot, and incredibly intense. Neither of them backs down from saying exactly how they feel, what they want, or what they plan to do to each other. Together they are explosive and I had fun reading this story. The paranormal aspects aren’t too unique, but the way Delilah Devlin sets up her world makes it feel like nothing I’ve read before. There is a small secondary cast that you only get a glimpse of, but it left me hoping there will be more stories to follow. Sin’s Gift is one paranormal that does not disappoint and I am eagerly waiting for more from Delilah Devlin.
