The Sheik’s Captive
When small town Wisconsin artist Honor Blackwell accompanied her boss with an art collection to Athens, Greece, the last thing she expected was to be given the job offer of a lifetime. A titled countess offers her several thousand dollars to sneak into the hideout of a jewel thief and retrieve a priceless emerald necklace. All goes as planned until the sexy thief catches her in the act, but he mistakes her for a birthday gift sent by his mischievous brother.
On holiday from his successful jewelry company, Crown Jewels, Sheik Alexander Kahn doesn’t know what to make of the stunning woman in his bungalow attempting to steal his collection’s show piece. But until he is able to figure out her game, he goes along with the ruse that he’s a jewel thief and she’s his brother’s sexual gift.
What ensues is a weekend of sexual bliss in each other’s arms. But what will they do when reality intrudes and their real identities are revealed?
The Sheik’s Captive is an erotically charged novella, where secrets and intrigue abound and the sexual kink between these two delicious main characters is so smoldering, the scenes fairly blister the pages. Honor is an open-minded, spirited woman who is a little naïve at times, but rises to the challenges that Alex puts before her. On the other hand, Alex is so sensually intense, so provocatively kinky that he could arouse even the most repressed of women.
The way these two toyed with each other throughout the tale, trying to figure out each other’s story was highly entertaining. At first glance, it seemed that this small town girl and worldly sheik were worlds apart. As they learned more about each other, however, it became evident they had more in common and were, in fact, well-matched.
The Sheik’s Captive is a wonderful read and is another successful story within the multi-story Desert Rose Anthology.
