After spending some time enjoying the sex, sun, and danger-free life of semi-retirement, MJ is beginning to get the urge to go back to work and nothing Sonny does can make MJ pass up this job. When things go south they end up with hostages. Neil and Paddy have an odd relationship, one is a mind reader and the other is a genius with weapons. Now MJ and Sonny have to figure out what to do with the two after the deal goes bad.

What happens when you have a weapons expert, a mind reader, a scientist, and a redneck moonshine runner? An explosively good time is what! I really liked the first book, Racing the Moon, but I loved Steam and Sunshine! The relationship between Sonny and MJ is still as volatile and odd as ever, which is so hot! Now we get to meet Neil and Paddy who have a completely different relationship. Theirs is a sweet and tender relationship but no less hot for it. I really enjoyed the way BA Tortuga wrote the characters and I fell even deeper in love with Sonny and MJ. While Neil and Paddy were fun to be around and I enjoyed exploring their love, Sonny and MJ will always be first and foremost in my heart. I can’t recommend this series enough! BA Tortuga has written another homerun with Steam and Sunshine.
