The Conquest is the sequel to Julia Templeton’s The Bargain. I absolutely loved this book. The characters just jumped out and grabbed my attention. I definitely empathize with Rhiannon and I can feel the war Adelstan wages within himself. The characters are engaging and the feelings they have for each other are explosive. Not a page goes by that Rhiannon isn’t trying something new! I just couldn’t put it down and had to read it all the way through non-stop! I recommend this book to any reader with a love of good old Scottish men and English Lords! I will definitely be looking for more books by Ms. Templeton!
