Undercover Angel
For Captain Shannon McKee, life is The Network. She is determined to succeed where her father failed and allows no social or romantic entanglements for herself or her crew. A rule she doesn’t hesitate to enforce when needed.
For Captain Ron Blair, the time in his life that he spent with Shannon was an eye opener and he can’t believe that she can pretend that she has completely forgotten what they shared. Has Shannon become the cold and unfeeling person she appears to be?
When Shannon decides to take on an undercover operation to expose a well known drug cartel ring leader, Ron is worried. Shannon assures him she can handle it, but when confronted with Roman, Shannon can’t decide if he is guilty or innocent. Her heart tells her one thing while the evidence tells her another. Shannon must evaluate her heart and decide between her past and her present to determine her future.
Undercover Angel by Karen Wiesner is the 7th book in Ms. Wiesner’s Incognito Series and I am definitely going to find and read the first six! I couldn’t decide if I wanted Shannon to choose Ron or Roman. And I couldn’t quite figure out if Roman really was the bad guy in the whole situation. The history she obviously had with Ron pulled at me, but at the same time I wanted to root for the underdog, Roman.
The relationship that I learned was between Shannon and her father was something that I knew she needed to work through in order to be able to love again and with Ron she is able to do that. On the other hand, Roman obviously needed someone to believe in him and help protect his kids. The relationship between Shannon and Roman’s children is very telling. Undercover Angel is a definite must read by this author.
