Sir Philip Ashton's Eyes

Abigail Foxworth is a much sought after beauty. She tactfully turns down marriage proposal after marriage proposal, much to the aggravation of her loving aunt. None of her suitors touch her heart or, as her blunt talking grandmother states, make her want to 'toss up her skirts.'

Abby attends an evening of mesmerism out of scientific curiosity. There she meets the guest speaker, Sir Philip Ashton, and is immediately captured by those influencing eyes. Abby is soon thinking thoughts no properly raised Regency miss should.

Sir Philip Ashton is blackmailed into giving this scientific lecture by his lab burning sister. She thinks he spends too much time alone in the country and needs a wife. A wife interfering with his experiments is the last thing he wants, he believes, until he meets the clever and beautiful Abigail.

I did not want to put this novel down. The characters are wonderful. The straight shooting grandmother made me laugh. Sahara Kelly adds even more humor with the mesmerism scenes. The chemistry between Abby and Philip burns up the pages while the laughter between them gives their relationship staying power. Sir Philip Ashton's Eyes is mesmerizing, perfect for Regency romance lovers wanting a spicier read.
