Body and Soul

Nichelle Turner is used to getting her own way. And in this instance it is having reformed bad-boy turned police officer, Terrance Walker, dance to her tune. Keeping her relationship with him as discrete as possible is her priority. However, Terrance has had enough secrecy, and is determined to go public. Unwilling to hide any longer, he makes his move to prove he is not just interested in wild and kinky sex with her.

Just as she is becoming accustomed to this, his old partner, Alejandro Ortez shows up, desperate for some R&R. The attraction between Nichelle and Alejandro quickly heats up to the point that it can no longer be ignored. Terrance is shocked to discover that he is not jealous, and actually encourages them. The explosive sex takes them all by surprise, but Nichelle and Terrance quickly conclude that their triad is the right way to go. Not so with Alejandro, who must be convinced that he should stick around.

In Body and Soul Liz Andrews and Lena Matthews have again teamed up to pen an erotic story which is captivating and warm. Their heroes are as sexy as all get out. However, the star of this particular show is clearly Nichelle. They have imbued her with a feistiness which does not simply melt away with the touch of an Alpha male, as so many others' heroines seem to. They carry this into her family relations as well; even though Nichelle has been the caretaker for many years, she does not come off as a martyr and her sisters do not display the annoying dependency which is frequently over done in such stories. Ms. Andrews and Ms. Matthews give them quick, witty dialogue, which showcases their deep bonds of affection.

Actually, it is her 'smart-alec' attitude and tongue which Nichelle uses to protect herself that provides such a challenge to Terrance, from which he can't walk away. She surprises both of them by the soft spot she develops for Alejandro, but even in this she maintains a strong sense of identity- a difficult task when the two set out to seduce her senseless! If the tale of a woman with a take-no-prisoner mantra combined with two gorgeous men who won't take no for an answer appeals to you, Body and Soul will surely make you one satisfied reader!
